Namaste: Lindsay + Ben’s Minnetonka Orchards Wedding

I’ve stared at a blinking cursor before – This feeling of having no words, of not being able to put into coherent sentences the strength and breadth of my emotions isn’t new. But still, something about this is different. There’s this flutter in my heart, and catch in my throat, as I prepare to tell you about this day. The day Lindsay and Ben got married at Minnetonka Orchards. The day one of my best friends on the entire planet married the love of her life.  The day they invited their closest friends and family to share in their love. A love that is so real, so electric, you can feel it. You can hear it buzzing about the room, whispering sweet nothings as it brushes past you, lingering ever so slightly before it hurries away to bestow its gift on someone else.  It is so palpable, so encompassing, that it is impossible not to be touched by it. Moved by it. Infected with it.

I could write a normal wedding post -talk about Lindsay’s one of a kind Joy Noelle gown, and all the handmade details. I could gush about Ben’s suit, the way he perfectly mismatched tweed and classic grey. I could fawn all over the details and the flowers and the bridesmaids and the cake (ohmygod, seriously people, the cake!), but I won’t. Because this isn’t just another wedding. This day isn’t about the stuff that filled the tables, or my mouth (yes, I’m still talking about that cake!), it’s about so much more than that. This day is about a place that is made of light and love and truth and peace. It’s about a place where, if Lindsay and Ben are there together – they become only one. This day is about joy. Love. Beauty. Friendship.

And Motorcycles.

This day….this marriage….this love…..

is simply

Namaste.

OMG! These images are beautiful!! As you know, I can tear myself apart body image-wise, but I’m just so taken aback by the beauty of them and the joy of the day that I don’t room to criticize myself. Yay for me!! Your keen eye and tender loving care in capturing this big day for us is greatly appreciated. Triumphs for you and for me and for Ben!! Love you!
