Megan+Geoff: Aamodt’s Family Session

I’ve started and erased and restarted and erased this post what seems like a million times because I simply don’t know how to put into words the awesome that is Megan+Geoff.  Fun. Vibrant. Silly. Loving. The exact type of people I crave as clients. When Megan contacted me to discuss their wedding photography, I knew by her email that I was smitten. When we met for coffee I was done for. I made a complete idiot of myself and kept whispering “Pick Me!” when she would talk about the slew of other photographers they had already interviewed. I am so incredibly honored that she listened to my insanity, and cannot wait for their wedding next fall.  During our conversation (and my incessant rambling) Megan asked if I’d be willing to shoot two engagement sessions; one with Geoff’s son Graydon, and a more traditional, couple only session, next Spring. Terri + John’s Midwest Maternity Session

I have known John and Terri since my husband and I started dating ten years ago.  DRL and John were roommates at the time, and Terri and I were the girlfriends who rarely set foot in the confines of that man-house.  These two amazing friends of mine are about to embark on the amazing journey that is parenthood (literally! The photos below are a few favorites from our session.   To see a slideshow from this session, click here:  John and Terri, thank you. For trusting me, for allowing me into this moment in your lives, for giving yourselves so freely last Sunday. I cannot wait to meet your daughter....

a part of me, apart from me

I have always thought this river possessed some form of magic, ever since I first saw it as a young girl. Quiet and still the water would turn to glass, and as the day came to a close, the exquisite beauty of this valley was perfectly reflected.  The sounds...
