I believe in fate – in serendipity and timing and that the universe has a plan for each of us. I believe that I was destined to meet Catie and Tim. To tell their story. To be with them, alongside them, as they etched scribbled words onto the first page of this next chapter in their lives. I went to Madison in May for their engagement session and knew instantly that this love was something different. Something that not everyone has the blissful opportunity to experience. These two are proof that you cannot love in moderation. You love with all of you. Every last ounce and drop and itty bit. And as we ventured around Tenney Park that gorgeous Spring evening, we talked about that kind of love. About the joy and bliss and awe that is life. About relationships and trust and dancing. We talked about giving up. What it would look like. What it might feel like. And then Catie and Tim stood on a dock and hugged each other close and promised – no matter what – they weren’t going to quit on each other.
Ever.
As tears threatened to fall they looked into each other’s eyes and said more in that moment than words ever will. A month later I found myself back in Madison ready to tell another story. A story that is the beginning of their forever. This is the day Catie married Tim in a beautiful church on a perfect Saturday in Madison. Surrounded by family and friends and a city full of memories of who and why and how they went from two ones to one TWO.
This is their Don’t Give Up story.
A huge ginormous thank you to my second shooter Kelsea for all her help and awesomeness.
Cheers to life and love and forever, Catie and Tim. Cheers to a love that is infinite.

amazing, once again. Love, love the way you bring life and emotions alive in your photos, but I also love your writing. How’s that book coming?
