Before I was a photographer, I was a mom with a fancy camera and a blog. A blog that has laid dormant for many months, while I’ve spent the majority of my time here — building this website, filling it with content, and posting weddings and portraits and collectives (oh my!). In that space of days and weeks and months, I’ve found myself many times missing The Family Pelton. It was a place where I could share anything – everything- with whomever cared to listen. Er. Um. I mean read. After a day spent with a dear friend – and a conversation about this blog – I realized that the two don’t need to be separate any longer. I don’t need one place for my business and one place for my personal life. That’s not who I am – divided. Secretive. Oh no, I’m a sharer (read: OverSharer), and a writer, and a poster-of-gratutious-photos-of-my-kids-er. So from this moment on, this blog isn’t just about business anymore. It’s not just a photography blog – this website – this place – is staked and claimed as mine. So brace yourself folks – it’s going to get awesome.
And it starts, with a my girls and a waterfall.
Cheers!
Mom

YAYAYAY!!!! I am so excited for what your site has in store. I *love* to see the personal aspect. It’s what makes us real. Touchable. Relatable. All the while, being entertained by your wit and mesmerized by your awesome talent in just about everything you do. SO excited. :)
