I’ve been shooting film for about a year now – but not really. My use of film (except instant/polaroid) has been spotty at best. Sparse. Sporadic. I have a Nikon film camera that I’ve used on a few occasions – and I’ve gone through boxes of polaroid film. But I haven’t been shooting it *enough.* A few weeks ago I went to a tent sale at a local camera outfitter in search of a Contax 645 or a Hasselblad, and found instead a vintage Mamiya C330 Pro. I fell almost instantly in love and took her home in the hopes that together we could make a bit of 6″ square magic. That same evening I ventured into the woods of Wisconsin with the wombfruits for a weekend of camping, crafting and mild mom-centric debauchery. beauty + light + fashion + lauren | minneapolis senior photography
It’s been almost two months since my last session with Lauren, and I didn’t think there was any way we would ever surpass the amazingness that happened on that fateful evening. The woods. The fog. The flower crown. It was all so….perfect. So Lauren. Lauren is the first senior I’ve ever photographed, and I’m certain that I’ve been completely spoiled by her. This girl sets the bar incredibly high and I am honored that she chose me to document this time in her life. I couldn’t imagine a better foray into the senior photography world – and I cannot wait for what the future holds. For both Lauren and I. If these photographs are any indication, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be epic. Here’s a few favorites from our (second) evening together:...
liz + ethan | castle mound engagement session
I’m not sure what I can say about Ethan and Liz that would adequately describe these two incredible people. Adjectives seem to trivial – too few – to do the joy and love and zest that is their love for one another justice. I am soooo lucky to have clients – friends – like Ethan and Liz. Not many people would drive over two hours to meet me at a state forest campground (Castle Mound) for their engagement session – let alone do so with ridiculous enthusiasm. I cannot wait for their candlelit December wedding (at a winery!) and I know that these two souls are in for a lifetime of immense happiness. I can feel it deep within my bones. And here is a look at our evening together – moving pictures, style: Liz Ethan | Castle Mound Engagement Session from athena pelton on Vimeo....
